We Survived the Fair

Wow, another fair has come and gone. This one was better than the past because the kids were older and able to do more on their own with the animals. They did well with their projects. I will try to post pics later. Andy got champion, grand champion and State Fair entry with his medal craft. He also got reserve champion Putnam County Steer in the Crossbred class. Ryan won beginner showmanship. Rachel did well with her drawing, and animals. We are now trying to catch up on laundry, housework, and gardening. I have canned 28 quarts of beans today and plan on making blackberry jelly tomorrow. The jobs are never ending around here. In a 3 short weeks the kids will be back to school. I am not ready for summer to end. It seems like as soon as the kids start back into school the weather turns cool and harvest is upon us. Time goes to quickly. I wonder what happened to the lazy days of summer? Maybe they got lost on the way to our house. I hope all of you are enjoying your days of warmth.
